My Workplace as a Solo Founder

I’ve been working from home for several years, so when the virus hit the world and people started to work from home, not much changed for me – I’m still working from home.

I’m not going to the public library or coffee shops anymore, but I rarely did anyways, and now both of my daugters are at home. Which is fun!

I’ve set up my workspace in the bedroom next to the bed. My desk is easily convertible to a modern standing desk with the help of my daughter’s small chair. When bootstrapping a startup, you need to be creative!

While I do have a dedicated desk for work, I’m often not using it. Rather I find myself in the living room to be in the middle of the family life.

When the weather gets warmer, I’ll set up my workplace to the balcony like I did last year.

I sometimes took my laptop with me when going out with my daugters. They played and I worked. Playgrounds are currently closed.

When you’re living in a 2-bedroom apartment, and your main workplace is occupied with your youngest daughter napping there, you’ll be creative and set up your standing desk to another room, next to a princess castle.

Going out to coffee shops is on pause right now, but sometimes it was nice to go out in the evening.
